📢 CONTRABASS Secondment Update! 

Excited to share that Batoul Assi (DC5, SIMaP-CNRS) has recently started her secondment at the University of Oulu 🇫🇮 under the supervision of Päivö Kinnunen and Hoang Nguyen. She will also be working alongside Fangyuan Ren (DC2). 

During her stay, Batoul will focus on first-principles thermodynamics of magnesium carbonates, exploring the role of sodium substitution and its impact on phase stability. 🧪🔬 

This topic is especially relevant to ongoing work in Oulu on complex carbonate systems and their stability behavior, helping to better understand how compositional variations influence systems that remain poorly constrained experimentally.
